One Traveller and Pixel Point Design – our on-going relationship now calls for an even bigger and more complex project than ever before.

Since 2012, our people from Pixel Point Design have been working with family-run One Traveller, now the number one singles’ holiday specialist for the over 50s.

The rise in the number of people interested in solo travel and taking advantage of the “No single supplements” feature that One Traveller has to offer, has resulted in an increase in growth by 17% in terms of numbers travelled with them over the last 12 months.

It’s therefore no surprise that in order to meet this demand, the destinations list has also expanded: 2018 sees the introduction of brand new trips to places such as Vienna, Malta, Washington DC, Southern India and Kerala, Vietnam and Cambodia.

One of the challenges faced by One Traveller is displaying their ever-expanding choice of holidays in an attractive, logical and compelling manner. With so many more options available than before, the summer 2018 brochure fills 216 pages, that is an extra 96 pages compared to the one we produced for Christmas and New Year 2017!

We were delighted that yet again, they called on Pixel Point Design. In fact, One Traveller told us that they have not felt the need to approach any other designers since we started working together. Ian Darkin, their Director, says:

“When I first approached Dean (Dean Clamp from Pixel Point Design) I did also approach three other designers and set them all the same task which was to design a front cover and sample holiday spread of my next brochure. Dean won the competition hands down and I have not looked anywhere else since.”

A bigger and more complex piece of work is one that our experienced design team relish. This time, we decided to go for a re-design entailing changing the format to A4 and introducing new colours and typography. We also utilised the extra space for the all-important beautiful photography.

It’s satisfying for us to hear that enquiries to One Traveller are up by 34% since last January and that since the 2018 brochure came out in September 2017, sales are up in general.

As for the future, well, both teams are getting together in March 2018 for discussions over future projects including the production of the Christmas and New Year 2018 brochure that is already well underway!
